Warming up!2012.02.22
Its been a while since my last entry. I have been away in Australia for a couple of close friends weddings. During my 3 weeks stay in Australia, I was able to catch up with old friends and family. No fishing though.... Maybe next time!
So after 3 weeks of no fishing, only anglers will understand the pain I was in.... Even before arriving back in Japan, I had been checking the weather forcast, already planning for my next hike out to the rocks!
After a couple of rest days since arriving back from the Australian summer, I was out in subzero temperatures, being drenched from head to toe..... The cold doesn't usually bother me too much, but this day was different! I was freezing!! As you can see from the picture below, conditions were looking up, with plenty of water movement and fiz!
As soon as we started, we got bites but not from the Black-fin seabass, but from small Yellow-tails. This continued for a while until we finally started to land a couple of seabass. But this was the first and the last for the day....
I heard the conditions were looking up, but it seems the fish have other ideas!!
