The off-shore fever is still ongoing with Kingfish and Yellow-tails taking turns exploding on the surface at dusk and dawn. Though compared to a couple of weeks ago, the fishing conditions are definately on the down-hill with the target becoming harder and harder to lure out. This is mainly due to the Kingfish spawning season coming up and they seem to have migrated elsewhere or I just can't catch them.

Here was a twisted and deformed Yellow-tail caught on the Tide Pencil as well. As you can see, the tail section of this fish was bent in ways it shouldn't.... Seeing fish like this is a little worrying but I suppose this is nature, and we can't expect everything to be perfect. If we look carefully, like humans, fish are also unique in subtle ways which differentiate from each other, whether it be the weight, length, proportion, size of tail, fins, head, etc. I can go on and on.
This fish was simply on the extreme scale of "different".
